AN OUT OF AFRICA HOME

with 360 degrees of uninterrupted sea and mountain views
Cocagne Guest Residence is set in pristine fynbos surroundings on the edge of the Kogelberg biosphere reserve in Gordon's Bay, South Africa. It is home to landscape photographer Paul Godard and inspirational writer Petra Vandecasteele who enjoy sharing the beauty that surrounds them.

Handcrafted with natural materials only, Cocagne Guest Residence is a most inspiring environment for photography and nature lovers, or simply for people wanting to replenish their soul.

We offer accommodation in our self-catering guest rooms and rent the whole house when we are on assignment.

Only 1 km from the beach and conveniently located near the N2 and R45, it is also close to shops and restaurants. Hiking, horse riding, but also golf and wine are within easy reach.

Ask Paul and Petra about exciting culinary and traditional uses of the fynbos plants in the area, or learn more about the UNESCO registered biodiversity hotspot right at the back of the garden. If you just want to relax and read, grab a book from our library or have a dip in the solar heated rimflow pool. And if you need to work... there is Wi-fi available for you.

We speak English, Afrikaans, French, Flemish and German.
