We call it our 'Out of Africa' home because the design is inspired by our many travels through Africa.
The main living area is very open (from 3 m high to double volume) with 5 m wide concertina doors opening up completely to create a wonderful open flow between the lounge and the patio area. Positioned to shelter you from the summer south-easter wind, this outdoors area of the house is ideal for entertaining, complete with a large solar-heated swimming pool (gated, for family safety), a built-in covered braai area, a herb garden, and even a traditional clay pizza oven! The kitchen is fully equipped and has a separate bar, while the scullery area is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The main bedroom contains a super-king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath,
The house has 2 separate self-catering studios, which are occupied year round by long-term tenants (one of whom is a registered tour guide if you need one and the other one, a very discrete elder woman). Both are very quiet people who will respect your privacy. There are also 2 beautiful, big dogs (German Shepherd x wolf) and 2 adventurous cats who live on the property and are fed by one of the tenants. A maintenance man works from a downstairs office on site, Mon - Fri during business hours, should you need assistance with anything. A maid will clean the house twice a week, on Monday and Thursday.
